A (Freight) terminal is a station where handling of goods takes place (goods are loaded on, or unloaded from, transport vehicles). May also include shunting of rail vehicles (wagons) between trains, without any (un)loading. May include open access and privately-owned industrial tracks, tracks of warehouses, loading places, Ro-La loading places, container loading places, loading areas and trans-shipment sidings (source: RNE glossary).
